The University of North Carolina at Greensboro

School of Education - Library and Information Studies

Accreditation

The American Library Association’s Committee on Accreditation (COA) has fully accredited UNCG’s MLIS program, scheduling the next comprehensive visit for spring 2018. The University of North Carolina at Greensboro appears on the list of accredited universities on the ALA website .

The success of this project is due to the efforts of faculty, staff, students, and LIS Advisory Committee that were evident to the External Review Panel and COA as they reviewed the strength and excellence of the program. The department will continue to strive for success and to improve on itself. This includes continuing to build on our mission: The UNCG Department of Library and Information Studies (LIS) connects people, libraries, and information through research, teaching, and service to enrich living and working in a global environment.
