National Library Day in Washington D.C. will be on Tuesday 4/24 and North Carolina will be sending a large contingent of library advocates to Capitol Hill to seek support for libraries.
We have created a state library advocacy site to tell the stories of public libraries but currently are missing stories from two of the 13 congressional districts and 66 of the 100 NC counties!

Accreditation Splash 2011

The American Library Association’s Committee on Accreditation (COA) has fully accredited UNCG’s MLIS program, scheduling the next comprehensive visit for spring 2018. The University of North Carolina at Greensboro appears on the list of accredited universities on the ALA website . The success of this project is due to the efforts of faculty, staff, students, and LIS Advisory Committee that were evident to the External Review Panel and COA as they reviewed the strength and excellence of the program.
