LaTesha Velez is finishing up her second year as a diversity fellow at UNCG’s Jackson Library as part of the Diversity Residency Program. She is the second resident to complete the program, which she will finish in July 2012. The Furniture Library is part of a nonprofit organization that seeks the advancement of knowledge as regards all things furniture. The current collection contains thousands of books on two floors. August 2011 Graduate, Jon-Marc Dale, recently won an audition to become part of the U.S. Air Force band. Dale holds an M.L.S., Library Studies, UNC-Greensboro, N.C. (2011), a B.M., Jazz Performance, UNC-Greensboro, N.C. (2007), and an Artist Certificate, UNC School of the Arts, Winston-Salem, N.C. (2002).
