UNCG LIS experimenting with Second Life

Led by one of our alumni, we now have a building and a virtual classroom in Second Life and are looking into ways we can best utilize this exciting environment for educational and marketing purposes.

It is completely free to join and if you are interested in visiting with us or simply exploring the breathtaking world of Second Life visit their Web site to learn more.

The UNCG LIS building is located in an area called "Cybrary City" and to go directly to this in Second Life copy and paste this address while running the Second Life software: CybraryCity/196/39/24

I've figured out how to create a link so that people can go directly to our building in Second Life. Try the following link: LIS in Second Life The main thing is that you will need to have a Second Life account and you need to have the SL software on the machine. Once you click on the link, second Life opens up, you'll log in and then it will take you directly to our building. The World Map might open but all you need to do is close it ( and X). This should do the trick for getting people to our building from our Website.

Here are a few pictures of the Second Life me and our building: Doctor Starbrook.
